The Laboratory of Biological Psychiatry is involved in exploring brain function and behavior. To this end, they use PET, functional and structural MRI, magnetic resonance spectroscopy, electrophysiology, and cognitive and neuropsychological testing. Research areas include Alzheimer’s disease, working memory in healthy subjects, and Mild Cognitive Impairment. The laboratory is well equipped and has a MRI simulator for training subjects in cognitive tasks prior to fMRI recording. The laboratory has a state-of-the-art research Evoked Potentials and EEG recording system.
